what should i do with box full of getting soft peaches?

friend of mine gave to me box full of peaches! i am not big fan of peach but i don't wanna waste any of it is getting soft and i putted in the refrigerator! what should i do i could make jam but is there any cheap way to do it? canning would work but what is canning steamer or boiler? please please help me! i hate trowing away food! i could do something with it and share with people i might gonna send you one jar or something lol! anyway help!!

You can certainly make peach pies, muffins, cobbler. The muffins would freeze well for later treats. You can freeze the peaches and use in recipes later but they do get mushy and if you don't use some type of "treatment" that includes ascorbic acid (vitamin C) they will discolor.

Freezer jam/jelly is an option also. The Sure Gel packets usually have the recipes included and I'm sure you can get them at their site. That would be wonderful on your toast on a cold winter morning!

Peach salsa is wonderful, many recipes around for that also.
