Drunken Chicken
Chicken marinating in wine?
So... last night for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to throw my chicken for dinner tonight into a zip lock bag to marinate with mostly red wine ( a sweet one), oil cured black olives, thyme, chunks of garlic, and a lot of salt. I guess in my semi-drunken state I thought I was doing a brine but today I am kind of grossed out thinking about how it will taste. Any opinions on this?
Well you know, sometimes our most creative food ideas do come in a semi-drunken state!! I think it will be good. I would take it out of the wine and then grill it, baste it will butter when done for a buttery flavor to go along with the wine.
