Where can I get my bottle of propane for propane gas grill?

My apartment complex prohibits charcoal grills, so I am my hands on a gas grill on the cheap that uses propane from a tank. I've never owned a gas grill before and do have used once or twice in the past. I see that you can buy tanks in places like Lowe's, Target, Costco, etc., but where do you go for get filled with propane? Can you usually do at some gas stations or do you have to go elsewhere?

In my area Pennsylvania, United States, you can go to a propane distributor, but preferably is safer to go in any store to place your tank emptied used for a new reservoir filled. You get a very low price, then having to buy a new one by itself. These trade-ins are then inspected to ensure they are still safe to reuse. If they are, they are cleaned, and refilled again be sold again. If they are not, then they are discarded as waste or recycled. You can find these trade-ins at most gas stations, grocery and retail store like Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Lowe's. My book is a friend of propane, and he even used to heat his home and for cooking, but he gets it at a cost too. LOL Anyway, he told me a story where a propane truck was parked side of the road while the driver was filling a tank lady. A dump truck collided with the truck propane and rupture propane tank trucks causing an explosion. The two trucks were completely destroyed, the house was razed, and there was a creator huge in the ground where the truck was sitting propane, two truck drivers and all residents of the house were killed instantly. There was not much the company of firefighters who responded could do except make a few small fires that were left after the rest or the propane vapor burned.
