Replacing a cracked granite inlay on a dining table?
I have a dining table with three black granite inlays, each is 620 x 350 x 12mm. One is cracked. How do I go about finding a replacement ? The table is quite old so I've no idea who the original manufacturer was, and Google wasn't much help. Any suggestions ? Thanks
If you want to keep the table, bring it to a granite countertop fabricator. Ask if they can AKEMI Glue the piece back together and polish the piece of stone after it is dry. They may charge you a bit for it, but I know it can be done I have done it myself a few times. Akemi is what granite shops use to glue pieces together. Akemi can be color matched to the stone they are using it on. Figure out if the table is worth the repair and have it done. If it is to much, slate looks great as a table top. Good Luck
