Hi i have to make gingerbread men i need a recipe and cooking istructions and any idea how to make a cutter?

I need help in how to make gingerbread paddles i need cooking instructions and a recipe

I'm not sure how to make a cutter, I guess you would have to draw it then make cardboard in that shape then stick something tough on the cardboard to cut, like a thin strip of metal.
