Ladies Day at Royal Ascot ... Tickets and info?

My sisters and I would go to Royal Ascot this year's Ladies Day. However, looking on site, the tickets seem a little confused. Is it better to buy or general admission, tickets or silver ring? Or should I buy both? (Yes, I would be able to pay the package complete, but I have to put coins in the real Paris!) If someone was before, I have your answer. We'll take a picnic if it helps your answer. thank you in advance xxx

I can understand your confusion. Last year, be general admission tickets that actually give you access to the parade ring and the rostrum. The Silver Ring tickets are cheaper, but you will not see the parade of horses. We went with a group and split up last year, the Half of the girls have never found the entrance to general admission and finished in the silver ring every day. They said that the atmosphere was fantastic and really liked it. My friend and I found our way into the general admission entrance was finally found and it is very very excited. We squeezed our way in the display area Tribune watch the first race but could not see a thing because there were so many people there, when we tried to turn round to leave we were caught in a sea of people and it took us 15 minutes to return to the lawn area, where we stayed for most of the day watching the race on a television screen in the hall of Paris! The toilets were absolutely abismal and ladies dressed in long held great jumping queues and dive in "Men." Last year, the weather on Ladies Day was very very wet, is it absolutely tip it down, and we saw beautiful ruin outfits (including ours). Our feet were wet as we had All of our hats and sandals were ruined. Lucky we hired them. If you just want to have a nice day on I suggest you take your picnic. Place your paris on a local bookmaker before you go, as its very difficult to get close to a bet, and you own the cheapest ticket possible. You have all the ambience and enjoy the day without getting crushed in the crowd. Nice and early indicate that traffic on the course and it becomes very stuck you could take an hour to go from being just 1 mile away. This year, my friends and I'll be watching on television with a good bottle (or 2) champagne and get the best seats in the House. We can see all the modes and particularly see the horses and races, because for me this is what its all about. For me, my experience has been frustrating and expensive, but everyone should know Ladies Day at least once and you either love it or hate it. Enjoy experience. (And take some welly) xx
