String Mop

Can I use a regular mop with vinegar and water to remove floor polish residue from my wood laminate floor?

I am using vinegar and water on my wood laminate floors to remove residue from Rejuvenate Floor Restorer, which left an awful sticky, filmy white residue on my laminate. Is it normal to have to mop the floor several times with the vinegar and water in order to get all of this gunky residue off? It came off real easily with scrubbing down on my hands and knees, but it will just take way too long doing it that way and I don't have that kind of time. I am now using a damp cotton string mop with the water and vinegar mixture that I put in a spray bottle, but it's not coming off as easily this way. If I mop it, let it dry, and then keep doing it a few more times, will this technique work? I really just don't have the time to get down and manually scrub my entire kitchen floor, even though it works this way. It's absolutely exhausting and takes forever.

I had a similar problem with Mop & Glo which left a horrible residue all over my hardwood floor. Vinegar won't remove it and you should be careful what you use on your floor as some substances will permanently damage or discolor your floor.

It's for removing Orange Glo and Mop & Glo but it should work for Rejuvenate Floor Restorer too.

Hope this helps!
