Meter Propane
Natural Gas Heater?
I am replacing an old heater and bought a vent-less wall heater rated for natural gas (I have natural gas service). There is a regulator on the old one...does the new one need a regulator? I would think the Gas Meter IS a regulator and the old heater was a converted propane heater, but I don't know.
The gas control valve has the regulator built in.
Read the manual anyway to make sure.
Those vent less heaters are not safe.
It's still surprising they are to be legalized this year.
I guess it's going to take some asphyxiations to outlaw them again.
They have been outlawed for 40 years.
Me and other plumbers in my area aren't installing them.
No amount of liability insurance can bring a life back.
