What is the best entrance to Yellowstone national park?
My girlfriend and I are traveling from Rapid City to Yellowstone Park, taking into consideration driving time and scenery, what would you suggest the best route and entrance to the park would be?
North East Entrance is *by far* the most scenic (and one of the least traveled) entrances. Just outside the park is Beartooth Pass - considered the most scenic road in the lower 48. http://www.beartoothhighway.com/ and then you enter near the Lamar Valley... where you are most likely to see the greatest concentration of wildlife in the park (by far). You would not regret this route.
